The Fictional Days

The exhibition presents works executed with brush with Chinese ink on rice paper, the work reflects different aspects of contemporary life and culture via the illustration of playful, whimsical and fictional ideas that explore city life, our living environment and Mother nature. Yi Pei depicts imaginary cityscapes as well as distorted nature, showing the interplay between the real and fictional world. By illustrating the “unreal” and the “impossible”, the artist believes that fiction can inspire and explore how we look at and experience the everyday lives and surroundings.
